Drawing for Animators

Loving this class!! First project was Design Lab. We had to start out with random scribbles and textures, and from there we had to find characters. Here is my process work all the way to the finished product.

Computer Animation III

Done with the 1st two projects in CA III; first was "Silhouette" in which we could only use the silhouette of the character to show 3 different emotions; 2nd was "Waiting" we had to show a character waiting... pretty self explanatory :D

Concept Development III

First assignment of Concept Development 3! Premise was to show a character struggling with a door.

Computer Animation - Sit/Stand Sophomore final project

SO late in posting this but here we go! Final project of my sophomore year in CA. We had to create everything from scratch! Premise was to create a character and make them sit and stand.

Concept Development II

First assignment! Had to be loosely based off of an aesop's fable.

2nd assignment - "Montage" - we were encouraged to base it off of a memory, and add some abstract imagery.

3rd assignment was left sorta wide open!

Intermediate Figure class

As my elective this past semester I took intermediate figure - here are some selections from the semester!

Computer Animation 1

WHEW what a blast this class was!!! I had an amazing time getting introduced to Maya and computer animation. I can't believe how much I learned from this class in just one semester.

I was by far most proud of the last project, "Simple Poly" so I'll start with that!

Designed, modeled, rigged, lit, and animated this lil' guy! It was really cool to go through every step of the animation pipeline personally to create this project.

From paper to computer!

The dreaded Penguin project :D This project's focus was to teach us about modeling. We were shown a penguin "stress" toy and had to re-create it in Maya.

The project previous to The Penguin was "Primitive Theater."

Had to create 2 characters interacting in some form or another. Another really fun project that led us through the basic pipeline of animation! My first experience with creating a basic rig as well as modeling very simple things in Maya.

Ah and then the very first assignment - ball bounce :)
